Chautauqua Shores Chorus To Offer Singing Valentines

The Chautauqua Shores Chorus is now booking arrangements for those wanting to surprise their loved one with a singing valentine within Chautauqua and Warren counties. A quartet from the group will perform for your loved one at their home, workplace, school, barber/beauty shop or wherever you would like on Friday, Feb. 14. For a contribution of $25, the ladies will sing few love songs, and present a gift to your valentine. To reserve a singing valentine call Elaine Kimbleton at 720-7262.

In other news, the chorus was busy recently, as they kept their voices in tune with singing engagements at several establishments. They sang for the Ellery Seniors at Ye Hare ‘n Hounds Inn in Bemus Point, the Marvin House in Jamestown, at the Struthers Library Theater in Warren, Pa., for the CASA benefit Christmas concert and they entertained the residents at the Rouse Home in Youngsville. In addition the group and their spouses celebrated Christmas at the Olive Garden in Lakewood.

The Chautauqua Shores practice every Monday night at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, using the Fifth Street entrance in Jamestown. Any woman, from any age group who loves to sing, is invited to attend. The chorus sings a cappella, four-part harmony, barbershop-style music which includes gospel, patriotic, seasonal numbers, up tunes, etc. There is no requirement to read music as learning media is available.
