Poland Seniors To Meet Feb. 19

KENNEDY – Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a potluck lunch on Feb. 19 in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Members attending should take a dish to pass and table service. New officers will be nominated. Committee members are Bob and Sally Canniff, Jeanette Funcell and Claudine Holmes. All are welcome to attend.

Forty-one members and two guests attended a recent meeting which was called to order by Donna Cross, president, with a flag salute and song, accompanied by Lou Ball on piano. Sandy Tompsett, Ray and Barb Wiltsie, Bob and Donna Cross were the committee. Jerry Simpson led table grace and Mrs. Cross called tables.

Reports by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read. Bob Caniff and Linda Kesby were appointed to review and revise the bylaws. Correspondence was read from the First United Methodist Church for a food kitchen donation of food and also St. Susans Center for a monetary donation.

Celebrating birthdays were Art Patchen, Ms. Kesby and Terry Lincoln. Anniversaries were observed by Fred and Nancy Shelters, 54 years; Frank and Mary Walker, 64 years; Art and Sally Patchen, 61 years; and Bob and Donna Cross, 54 years.

Mrs. Cross gave a reading and Sharon Hamilton, of Lutheran, spoke on the Lutheran Home and Methodist Gardens.
