Hockey Rivals SW-MG, Raiders To Square Off On Senior Night
Southwestern-Maple Grove and the Jamestown Raiders will be playing their annual Senior Night game on Saturday at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
Recognition of the Chautauqua County Youth Hockey Association seniors will begin at 7 p.m., with the game to follow at 8 p.m.
The teams are collaborating on a service project to collect donations for the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. Basically, the mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to provide free or low-cost lodging, food and support to families that need to be away from home for an extended period of time as they seek medical treatment for their seriously ill or injured child.
The teams are collecting donations of bottled water, snack food items, 30-gallon sized black garbage bags, Lysol or Clorox wipes and paper towels. Those are the top five items that are always needed, according to a spokesperson for the Buffalo House. The items can be dropped off in the rink lobby prior to the game.
