Youth Hockey


Declan Brown scored twice, Devin Wolfe, Lucian Talbett and Michael Gerace once as Jamestown Squirts defeated the Buffalo Stars, 5-1, in the Western New York Area League at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.

Ryan Mead delivered two assists and Cooper Bergman one for the winners, who had Jack Yost tending goal on Saturday.

On Sunday morning, the Lakers turned back league foe Niagara Junior Purple Eagles, 4-1, with Evan Bishop, Evan Christensen, Talbett and Wolfe doing the scoring.

Christensen added an assist in support of goalie Yost.


The Jamestown Lakers battled to a 4-3 win over Fredonia.

Carson Olson picked up a pair of goals in the victory while Zac Rhodes and Lucas Lisciandro notched one apiece. Assists came courtesy of Lydia Covert, Rhodes, and Spencer Bell.

Draven Dejesus was victorious in net for Jamestown.


There was a 4-4 stalemate on Saturday morning between Lewis Construction and Rock Hill Engineering.

Blade Ellis and Hunter Thorpe picked up a pair of goals each while Lawton Tranum tallied once for Lewis Construction.

For Rock Hill Alias Akl, Jacob Thorp, Dennis Becker and Garrett Darts each lit the lamp once while Morgan McClune, Olivia Ferrick, Shane Federko and Elias Akl picked up assists.

Nick Everson also dished out three helpers.

Lewis picked up two goals in the final period to help force a tie for Rock Hill.
