Cardinals Win With Big Second Half

GOWANDA – The Gowanda Panthers’ offense went cold in the second half as the Randolph Cardinals walked away with a 56-37 victory Monday in Division 1 East boys basketball.

The Cardinals held a slim 32-28 halftime lead, but went on to outscore the Panthers (8-6, 1-4) 24-9 in the second half for the victory.

“We couldn’t hit any shots,” Gowanda coach Andy Bobseine said. “We just couldn’t match them in the second half. They would hit a couple buckets and we couldn’t match them.”

Bryce Morrison led the way for the winners with 14 points while Cody Oldro netted 12 and Lucas Brown added 10 for the winners.

Zach Stevens and Brennan Geiger each scored 11 points for Gowanda.
