West Smashes 257-717 Set To Pace Trojans

Senior Taylor West had a banner afternoon at Jamestown Bowling Company on Wednesday afternoon in Division 1 West high school bowling.

West rolled the league’s first 700 with a 257-227-233-717 as the Southwestern boys (25-11) toppled Dunkirk (20-12), 3-1, by rolling a 977-896-840-2,713 compared to Dunkirk with a 836-829-918-2,583.

Alex Milliner supported West with a 201-526 for Southwestern.

Brandon Haase hit a 223-591 and Pete Kubera a 203-556 for Dunkirk.

In girls competition, Hannah Schnor unloaded a 201-560 and Adriana Pencek a 214-502 as Dunkirk defeated Southwestern (12-24), 4-0,

Dunkirk rolled a 746-880-767-2,373 and Southwestern a 650-683-844-1,977.

Amanda Stewart spun a 199-510 amd Brooklyn Bucklin a 386 in the loss.

RAIDERS SPLIT

Jamestown defeated Frewsburg, 4-0, in boys action and tied with Frewsburg, 2-2,in girls competition at JBC.

Brent Miller unloaded a 223-580 as Jamestown’s boys shot 826-866-825-2,527 compared to Frewsburg’s 821-803-800-2,424.

Evan Norton led Frewsburg with 194-571.

Andraya Vazquez spilled 211-549 when the Jamestown girls produced a 688-738-686-2,082.

Maisie Terhune delivered a 163-467 for Frewsburg, which connected for a 738-728-644-2,110 in gaining the tie.

FREDONIA SWEEPS

FREDONIA – Fredonia swept Falconer in both boys and girls at Lucky Lanes in Division 1 West.

Rick Burgstrom recorded a 225-573, Collin Schanzlin a 202 and Nick Pagano a 199 singles as the Fredonia boys (20-16) put together a 938-930-869-2,737.

Tyler Himes hit a 203-538 and Tyler Lee had a single of 181 when Falconer (1-31) connected for a 809-744-665-2,218.

Genna Riddle scattered a 225-195-586, Elizabeth Valvo a 199 and Taryn Wojkowiak a 191 when Fredonia (32-4) blanked Falconer with games of 757-807-873-2,437.

Jessica Zdunski of Falconer was high with 130-363 as the Golden Falcons spilled 583-530-572-1,685.

SCHAPP THE LEADER

Skyler Schapp unloaded a 182-182-528 and Marcus Miller a 177-484 as the Randolph boys (22-14) beat Brocton (17-19), 3-1, on singles of 816-718-732-2,268, in Division 2 West.

Anthony Miller cracked a 225-186-563 and Taylor Delcamp a 179-461 when Brocton rolled a 736-724-720-2,179.

FORESTVILLE TAKES TWO

CUTTING – In Division 2 West action at Cutting Lanes, Forestville swept Chautauqa Lake in boys, 4-0, and in girls, 4-0.

Brad Dillenburg paced the Forestville boys (26-2) with a 193-181-215-589, Phil Narraway added a 194-199-541 and John Murphy 160-203-172-535 as the Hornets spilled 785-816-851-2,452.

A.J. Utegg had a 164-156-209-529 for CL (.5-35). which rolled a 581-578-596-1,755.

Sarah Pleva hit 161-154-457 and Emily Narraway a 169 single when the Forestville girls (26-2) shot a 580-469-568-1,617.

Heather Sullivan drilled a 153-167-468 for Chautauqua Lake (3-25), which fired a 439-437-488-1,364.

BLACK KNIGHTS SWEEP PIRATES

SILVER CREEK – Silver Creek (24-8) swept Clymer (13.5-18.5), 4-0, with a linescore of 969-876-905-2,740 while the Pirates shot a 681-706-608-1,995 at Lakeview Lanes.

The Black Knights were led by Tyler Steklasa’s 234-185-181-600.

Tim Manning contributed in the win with a 246-581 while Robert Paterson charted a 209-193-576. Carl Cotroneo added a 204-544 for Silver Creek.

The Pirates received a 182-472 from Sam VanValkenburg. David Applebee finished with a 166-410 in defeat.

For the girls, Silver Creek (17-11) also earned the sweep of Clymer (7-17) with a linescore of 539-570-603-1,712 while the Lady Pirates rolled a 455-521-476-1,452.

The Black Knights’ Katie Dittiger cracked a 161-151-150-462 while Haylee Grover added a 158-439. Jamie Hehir finished with a 158-425 in the win.

Clymer was led by Janelle Engels’ 164-164-473.
