LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Joseph L. Estus, of Jamestown, was charged Wednesday with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside original container and failure to keep right. At approximately 5:59 a.m., Estus was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Route 474. Estus was found in possession of approximately 30 grams of marijuana and a single pill of a controlled substance.
Shawn M. Garrett, 32, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with three counts of petit larceny. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Lakewood-Busti Police Department with the assistance of the Jamestown Police Department took Garrett into custody following multiple outstanding warrants for larcenies from Wal-Mart on three separate dates. Garrett was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Nicholas S. Evans, 20, of Jamestown was charged Friday with fourth-degree stalking. According to police, Evans continually called his ex-girlfriend while she was being interviewed by the police and kept calling despite warnings from state troopers. He was located in Ellicottville and turned over to the Jamestown Police Department. He was arraigned in Elliott Court where an order of protection was issued. Evans reportedly contacted the victim again, leaving a voicemail message. He also spoke with her on Facebook and had a friend contact her and set up communication between them. Troopers took Evans into custody, and had him remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Brandon Shutt, 27, of Sinclairville and Joshua Richter, 20, of Cassadaga, were charged on Jan.16 with unlawful possession of marijuana. Richter was found in possession of a bottle of liquor and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. According to police, a check of an occupied vehicle parked behind the Sinclairville Library at 11 p.m. resulted in both men being taken into custody. Troopers allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana upon approaching the vehicle. Both men were found in possession of marijuana and issued appearance tickets to Charlotte Court?for Tuesday.
