Jamestown Boys, Girls Bowlers Win

Jamestown was able to pick up wins in both boys and girls bowling at Jamestown Bowling Company on Friday evening in a West Division 1 matchup against Dunkirk.

After beating the Marauders by a game score of 4-0, the Jamestown boys are now 23-9 on the year, while Dunkirk stands at 19-9.

The Red Raiders rolled 878-888-850-2,616 on their way to victory.

Individual high scores included Brandon Propheter with a 225-560, Jeremy Becker with a 207-537, Chad Warner with a 181-503, Chris Edens with a 201 and Brent Miller with a 183.

Dunkirk tossed a 797-732-795-2,324 with a high game of 204-530 by Brandon Haase.

The Lady Red Raiders now stand at 19-13 after winning 3-1 over the Lady Marauders (23-5).

A linescore of 692-655-664-2,011 was good enough for the Jamestown win, which included a 169-400 by Sapphire Dean and a 419 by Andrea Vazquez.

Dunkirk struck a 731-623-645-1,999 that was lead by a 425 from Caitlyn Chase and a 191-419 by Adrianna Pencek.


Fredonia (24-4) swept the Frewsburg girls (5-23), 3-1, and the boys (15-13) swept the Bears (9-19), 4-0, in the Division 1 West bowling action Friday at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Elizabeth Valvo floored 199-530 as Fredonia girls rolled 832-761-657-2,250 compared to Frewsburg with 687-727-753-2,167.

Emily Norton shot a 235-528 for Frewsburg.

Collin Schanzlin spun a 218-582 and Tyler Winchell a 231 when the Fredonia boys tossed a 878-869-807.

Malik Williams drilled a 202-555 as Frewsburg unloaded a 781-769-773-2,323.
