Fredonia Still Undefeated In West

FREDONIA – The Fredonia Hillbillies (9-3, 6-0) are finding new players to score and the defense continues to improve as they kept their perfect Division 1 West record intact with a 63-44 victory over Falconer-Frewsburg (6-6, 2-3) on Friday.

With John Piper battling illness the past week, Pat Moore has stepped up this week as he contributed in the win with 17 points.

It was Fredonia’s defense which truely shined in the opening half as it held the Bears to just 15 points for a 30-15 halftime cushion.

A key contributor in that defense was Cam Voss as he pulled down 16 rebounds, had a career-high seven blocked shots and altered several shots throughout the game.

The visitors made things interesting in the third quarter as they cut the lead, 39-33. However, Moore sparked a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach. During the run, Moore drained a 3-pointer and followed it up with a traditional 3-point play.

Dylan Myer led all scorers with 22 points and also grabbed six rebounds while Voss added 11 points of his own

Kyle Petersen led Falconer with 12 points.
