Red Raiders Split Bowling Matches Against Fredonia

Jamestown and Fredonia split its matches at Jamestown Bowling Company with the Red Raiders winning, 4-0, in the boys match and Fredonia claiming the girls match, 3-1 in Division 1 West bowling Wednesday afternoon.

Brandon Propheter shot a 216-266-644, Jeremy Becker a 256 and a 225, Brent Hiller a 247 and Chad Warner a 226 as Jamestown’s boys (19-9) delivered 1,011-1,044-974-3,029.

For Fredonia (11-13), which had singles of 953-888-930-2,761, Collin Schanzlin uncorked a 224-201-601, Ricky Burgstrom a 221 and a 224, and Tyler Winchell a 202 and 200.

The Fredonia girls (21-3) had singles of 841-924-863-2,528 compared to Jamestown (16-12) with 884-736-759-2,379.

Morgan Dispense had a 561 series on high games of 202 and 185, Genna Riddle added a 219 game and Elizabeth Valvo had a 174.

Brittany Miller hit 221-201-588 for Jamestown while teammates Sapphire Dean contributed a 192 and Samantha Rushforth a 178.

SOUTHWESTERN SWEEPS

Southwestern won both boys and girls over Falconer by scores of 4-0 at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Brett Worland hit a 194-540 and Taylor West a 198-534 as the Southwestern boys (19-9) shot 768-872-850-2,490 while Falconer (3-25) had 749-760-641-2,150 in Division West 1.

Jacob Scott dropped 194-518 and Joe Cinkovs a 180 for Falconer.

Amanda Stewart uncorked a 184-509 and Brooklyn Bucklin a 173-441 as the Southwestern girls (12-16) wound up with 668-679-741-2,088. Falconer had 633-528-509-1,678.

Beth Brown connected for a 153-345 and Lizzy Hanson a 125-340 for Falconer (0-28).

GOWANDA REMAINS UNDEFEATED

In the Eastern Division, Gowanda (28-0) defeated West Valley in the girls competition, 4-0, at K & L Lanes.

Lauren Wing dropped 429, Malyssa Farley a 195. Danielle Lesefske a 170 and Laura Gurney a 166 as the Lady Panthers shot 934-982-944-2,860.

Meanwhile, West Valley upended 461-449-426-1,336.

BROCTON SWEEPS

FREDONIA – Anthony Miller shot a 228-212-620 as Brocton (16-16) swept Chautauqua Lake (-27), 4-0, in Division 2 West boys action.

Mark Nickerson delivered a 202 and a 193 as the Bulldogs drilled 890-809-812-2,251 compared to Chautauqua Lake’s 631-653-694-1,978 at Lucky Lanes.

A.J. Utegg had a 225-459 for Chautauqua Lake.

On Tuesday Nickerson fired a 182-198-528, Jordan Krysturall and Taylor Delcamp 498s as Brocton took care of Clymer, 4-0.

Total pinfall showed Brocton with 824-797-747-2,387 compared to Clymer’s 700-694-710-2,104.

David Applebee hit 188-526 and Sam VanVolkenberg a 435 for Clymer, which had Zach Crawford pick up the 6-7-10 split.

MANNING HIGH FOR SC

FREDONIA – The Silver Creek boys and Forestville girls split in Division 2 West.

Tim Manning shot a 231-623, Tyler Steklasa a 588 and Carl Cotroneo a 213 as the Silver Creek boys recorded a 4-0 victory over Forestville.

In total pinfall, Silver Creek had 951-872-1,001-2,824 while Forestville had a 821-834-806-2,461.

Brad Dillenberg spun a 204-569, ohn Murphy a 528 and Macadam Gadewoltz a 200 for Forestville.

The Forestville girls won, 4-0, with a pinfall of 653-605-721-1,979 compared to SC’s 543-583-584-1,710.

Emily Narraway spilled a 225-564 and Sarah Pleva a 206-555 for Forestville.

McKenna Steklasa had a 172-487, Jamie Hehir a 434 and Andrea Olson a 186 in defeat.
