Woman Leads Police On High-Speed Chase

A Pennsylvania woman allegedly led Pennsylvania and New York State Police, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies and Westfield Police on a high-speed chase late Saturday night.

Christina M. Trump, 43, of North East, Pa., allegedly failed to stop her vehicle when contacted by Pennsylvania State Police and crossed over the border into New York.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were able to successfully deploy spike strips, disabling Trump’s vehicle. She continued to operate her car for several more miles, with the chase finally ending when Trump’s vehicle left the roadway, striking and severing a utility pole near Willow Road in Dunkirk.

She was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Trump was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings, in addition to facing multiple other traffic charges in both New York and Pennsylvania.

Trump was arraigned in Dunkirk Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
