Presents For Pets

Jamestown High School recently held its fifth annual Presents for Pets collection drive in support of the daily needs of the Chautauqua County Humane Society.

CCHS’ wish list contains items such as: used towels, pet toys and feeding dishes that any student would have in their home.

JHS graduate Casey Love started Presents for Pets in 2008 to give all students an opportunity to give back.

JHS senior Jacob Kindberg coordinated this year’s drive and was assisted by junior Anthony Russo. The drive ended on Dec. 19 with the class contributing the most items receiving $100 to add to their Penny Wars fundraising total.

The items donated reduce the supply costs for the Humane Society, giving them more working capital for the care of the animals.
