Hamilton, Conroy Lead Ellicottville Girls

ELLICOTTVILLE – Marissa Hamilton and Kara Conroy combined for 37 points and 23 rebounds as Ellicottville topped Forestville, 58-41, in Division 2 East girls basketball on Friday night.

Hamilton scored 21 points. hauled down 15 rebounds and blocked nine shots while Conroy had her varsity career high of 16 points and eight boards for the winners, who are 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.

Hamilton had 20 in the first half as the Eagles built up a 37-23 lead. Conroy had 10 of her points in the second half.

Alexis Woodin added seven steals in the victory.

Forestville, now 1-4 overall, was led by Alisha Szumigala with 15 rebounds and Amanda Weaver added 13 points.

WEST VALLEY – Pine Valley’s Alex Bentham poured in 25 points as the Lady Panthers downed West Valley, 68-5.

Also for the winners, Kaleigh Brunswick and Kayla Mansfield both scored 10 points each.
