CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SHERIDAN – John-David Gozdzlak, 48, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se having a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and speed over 55 miles per hour. At approximately 8:56 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 20 for allegedly speeding. Upon investigation, it was determined that the operator – Gozdzlak – was intoxicated. He will appear in Sheridan Court at a later date.
Dillon J. Ward, 21, of Westfield is being removed from the Chautauqua County Wanted List. Ward was wanted by the sheriff’s office for violation of probation. He has been taken into custody and his warrant has been cancelled.
OLEAN – Pierre N. Morgan, 29, of Buffalo, Carmen C. Burney, 27, of Olean, Justun A. Vance, 28, of Buffalo and Kellee L. Lewis, of Olean were charged Thursday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to the task force, the charges were filed by the task force and the Olean City Police Street Unit after the execution of a search warrant at 502 Third Ave., Apt. 3. All four defendants were in possession of crack cocaine. They were held in Olean where they were awaiting arraignment in Olean Court. Investigators were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office road patrol division and the Olean Police Department’s road patrol division. More charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
OLEAN – Eric J. Pitts, 27, of Olean was charged Wednesday on a bench warrant. At approximately 9:18 a.m., deputies took Pitts into custody on a bench warrant issued out of the Cattaraugus County Supreme Court. He was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he is pending arraignment.
