Radack, Mann, Young, Rubin Shine In Masters Swim Meet

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Four Jamestown YMCA swimmers won all the events that they competed in a Masters Meet at the Grove City YMCA on Sunday.

Bill Radack, Tom Mann and Judy Young captured four events each and Mara Rubin won three events for the Jamestown YMCA in an event that saw 180 swimmers competing.

Radack, competing in the Men’s 75-79 Division, captured firsts in the 100 freestyle, 20 backstroke, 50 freestyle and 50 breaststroke.

Mann, participating in the Men’s 65-69 Division, won the 25 backstroke, 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 25 butterfly.

Young, in the Women’s 85-89 Division, won the 100 freestyle, the 25 backstroke, 200 backstroke and the 50 freestyle.

Rubin, competing in the Women’s 55-59 Division, was first in the 100 freestyle, 25 backstroke and the 20 backstroke.

David Young, who was in the Men’s 60-65 Division, claimed first in the 200 individual medley, second in the 200 backstroke, third in the 25 backstroke and fourth in the 100 freestyle.

Al Silliker, competing in the Men’s 60-64 Division, had a first in the 100 breaststroke, second in the 50 breaststroke and thirds in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

Karen Williams, in the Women’s 50-54 Division, took seconds in the 100 freestyle, the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle, and third in the 25 backstroke.

Andrea Mosher, participating in the Women’s 45-49 Division, came in first in the 25 backstroke, second in the 50 breaststroke and thirds in the 100 breaststroke and 100 freestyle.

Kelly Bates, competing in the Women’s 40-46 Division, emerged with a second in the 25 butterfly and thirds in the 50 and 100 freestyles.

Gretchen Elwell, in the Women’s 30-34 Division, was first in the 50 freestyle and in the 500 freestyle plus third in the 100 freestyle.
