Ross Grange To Host Scholarship Winners
FALCONER – Ross Grange recently held their Christmas party -a catered dinner and hosted residents of a group home along with their caregivers. Each received a gift from Grange members. Hats, mittens, socks and underwear were collected and given to nurses in Falconer and Cassadaga elementary schools to use as needed. Carols were sung accompanied by Mary Carlberg on the accordion. Mrs. Claus made a surprise visit.
Ross Grange will change their meeting time for the winter months. The next meeting will be Jan. 13 with refreshments provided at 2 p.m. The program and meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Ross Grange will give three scholarships this year through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. They will be given to Patrick Caldwell of Frewsburg, Maxwell Peterson of Kennedy and Aaron Rahr of Falconer. They have been invited to share their college experiences with Grange members.
Lisa Lynde and Michelle Frederickson of the Community Foundation will also be present.
Meetings are held at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall in Falconer and visitors are always welcome.
