Einink Leads Way In CLCS Girls’ Victory

MAYVILLE- Jenna Einink continued her dominant season on the hardwood on Saturday afternoon as Chautauqua Lake (2-0, 5-1) rolled past Westfield (0-2, 0-7), 66-20, in West Division 2 girls basketball action.

The junior center finished with a 20 point-10 rebound double-double that also included a bucket from 3-point range and eight steals.

Courtney Hewes was just behind Einink with 14 points and seven steals while Ashton Albanesius added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the paint.

Despite shooting poorly from the charity stripe, just 16-of-39, the Lady Thunderbirds managed enough offense to build a comfortable lead that went unchallenged by the Lady Wolverines.

Senior Lacie Landon was the top performer for Westfield, she finished with six points on a pair of treys while teammate Lindsay Harp recorded six boards and five blocks.
