Bemus Point Girl Injured In Snowmobiling Accident

BEMUS POINT – A Bemus Point girl was injured in a snowmobile accident on a trail alongside Bemus-Ellery Road on Friday at 2:11 p.m.

According to New York State Police, a family of snowmobilers were traveling east on a trail when the girl in front of the group hit a bump in the trail from a gas line by the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. She then fell off her snowmobile onto the trail. Her sister, following closely behind her, was unable to swerve out of the way and ran her over.

The injured girl was taken to the WCA Hospital by the Bemus Point ambulance with unknown injuries.

Investigation is continuing.
