Rektorik — Minnick

Krista Therese Minnick and Timothy Edward Rektorik Jr., exchanged wedding vows on June 29, 2013, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Gowanda, N.Y. The Rev. Daniel Walsh, pastor emeritus, and Deacon Ronald Reger, of the Diocese of Richmond, Va., performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Sarah Steffan, organist, Zachary McHale, violinist, and Mary Starkey, vocalist. The bride was escorted by her father.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Maureen Minnick of Collins, and granddaughter of Shirley Minnick of New Albion. Her husband is the son of Timothy E. Rektorik Sr. and Debra Rektorik, both of Hamburg, and grandson of Roy Christ of Hudson, Fla., formerly of the town of Tonawanda.

The bride’s gown featured a pleated, sculpted, standaway bodice with sparkling beading at the strapless neckline. Pleats wrapped around the asymmetrical fitted bodice with a corset back. Looped embellishments on the corset accentuated the gathered empress satin cathedral train.

Jacqueline Stachowiak was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Rektorik, sister of the groom, Elizabeth Gearhart, cousin of the bride, Betsy Johnson and Laura Williams. Flower girl was Madelyn Christ, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Christopher Mazgaj. Groomsmen were Gregory Conley, Marc Karas, Nicholas Quinn and Matthew Minnick, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Jacob Gearhart, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Immaculata Academy, Erie Community College, and the University at Buffalo School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse by the Catholic Health System at Mercy Hospital in the open heart unit. Her husband is a graduate of Frontier High School and Erie Community College. He is employed by Rose Micro Solutions.

They honeymooned at the Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach, Fla,
