Gerry’s Budget Up 2.4 Percent
GERRY – Gerry’s 2014 budget will feature a 2.43 percent increase in the tax levy. The amount was incorrectly reported in an earlier article in The Post-Journal.
The tax levy, the amount of money raised by property taxes, will be $481,215, an increase of $11,438 from the 2013 budget.
Gerry’s total budget was also incorrectly reported. In 2014, Gerry will operate within a $1,407,339 spending plan, a $24,423 (1.77 percent) increase from 2013.
The tax rates of $4.16 per $1,000 of assessed value in Sinclairville, and $4.64 per $1,000 of assessed value outside of the village are correct.
The Post-Journal apologizes for the errors.
