Shirley A. Livermore
RANDOLPH – Shirley A. Livermore, 70, of Randolph, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Heritage Park, Jamestown.
Shirley was born April 10, 1943, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Randall and Alice Wiltsie States.
She was a fulltime homemaker who served as a foster parent for over 11 years, caring for over 35 children.
She was a member of the Chautauqua County Home Bureau, Traditional Country Music Association, a special education advocate and a Girl Scout Leader for over 10 years.
Shirley enjoyed crafts (especially needlepoint, crossstitch, knitting and jewelry making), travel, birdwatching, square dancing, finding treasures at lawn sales and loved time spent with her family most of all.
Wife of 43 years to Sherwood A. Livermore, whom she married Nov. 21, 1970; mother of Ginger (Richard) Black of North Chili, Barbara (Randall) Hester of Wellington, Utah, Matthew Livermore of Brooklyn and Sean Livermore of Jamestown; grandmother of Brandon and Adrianna States, Cheyenne, Emma and J.R. Hester and the late Dakota Hester; and sister of Howard (Josie) States of Bemus Point, Kenneth (Joanna) States and the late Robert (Norma of Warren), Donald and Randall States. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation is from 25 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
