Busti To Build Bike, Fitness Trail

BUSTI – Although the region is dealing a dose of winter, members of the Town Board of Busti are looking forward to sunny days spent at Loomis Park.

After hosting a number of public outreach sessions with residents of the town of Busti, the Town Board discovered a number of residents expressing interest in a multi-purpose, non-motorized trail through the community.

According to Ken Lawton, town of Busti councilman, an ad-hoc committee has been created to oversee the implementation of the trail. In order to provide funding for the project as it gains momentum, a pass through fund has been established at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

The Busti Bike and Fitness Trail Non-Endowment Fund will serve as a depository for monies raised by the ad-hoc committee to benefit the creation of the trail in the town of Busti.

Those interested in making a donation to support the project may do so on the Community Foundation’s website, crcfonline.org. Donations may also be mailed to the foundation’s office located at 418 Spring St., Jamestown. For more information on the fund, contact the foundation at 661-3390.
