YMCA To Offer Activities For Children During Winter Break

The Jamestown YMCA will provide full days of activities for children 5 to 12 years of age for the upcoming days off in December. Age-appropriate activities are planned each program day starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. such as swimming, arts and crafts, gym games, group activities, games, cooking and more. Program fees for full days of care at the YMCA are $24 per child for YMCA members and $32 for potential members.

Each day will feature a theme: Monday is Christmas shopping at Dollar Tree and the Y Kids Christmas Party. Thursday is Snowed In fun with gym games, winter crafts, swimming and more. Friday, Dec. 27, is Holiday Hoopla with holiday freeze dance, games and a trip to the Prendergast Library. Monday, Dec. 30, is Games Galore with swimming, puzzle fun and group games. Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. is the New Year’s Eve party with swimming, silly relays, party games, crafts and more. Each day, children should bring a lunch, a morning and afternoon snack, swim suit and towel.
