JHS Girls, Frewsburg Boys Capture Bowling Victories
Jamestown and Frewsburg split in West I Division of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus High School Bowling League on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.
The girls match went to Jamestown (11-9) by a 4-0 score and the boys to Frewsburg (8-8) by a 3-1 score at Jamestown Bowling Company.
Jamestown had games of 758-649-699-2,106 in girls action while Frewsburg (4-12) put together totals of 732-600-628-1,960.
Brittany Miller dropped 190-199-522 and Andraya Vazquez 189-471 for Jamestown (11-9). Shelby Snow of Frewsburg drilled a 162-477 and Emily Norton a 214-472.
In the boys competition, Frewsburg posted a 791-821-884-2,496 while Jamestown hit 724-859-866-2,449.
Evan Norton hit a 192-525, Caleb Terhune and Levi Sheldon a 206 for Frewsburg while Brandon Propheter shot 197-207-163-563 for Jamestown.
FREDONIA – Fredonia boys and girls swept Falconer by 4-0 totals at Lakeview Lanes.
Elizabeth Valvo delivered a 220-202-200-622 as Fredonia (14-2) won with a 939-812-802-2,553 compared to the Falconer girls with 606-560-698-1,852.
Taryn Wojkowiak had a 194, Morgan Dispenze a 190, Cassie Givin a 186 and Genna Riddle a 180 for Fredonia.
Lizzy Walker hit 155-427 and Hannah Wallace a 156 for Falconer.
The Fredonia boys had totals of 949-866-885-2,700 to even the record at 8-8. Falconer’s line was a 877-702-713-2,292.
Tyler Winchell uncorked a 193-189-216-598, Ricky Burgstrom a 236-182-595, Collin Schanzlin a 203 and Travis Langworthy a 182 for Fredonia.
For Falconer, Nathan Sanders dropped a 202, Trystin Lee a 195 and Tyler Himes a 190.
FREDONIA -The Forestville boys gained a 4-0 win over Chautauqua Lake by tossing a 2,647 total compared to 1,686 at Lucky Lanes.
Brad Dillenburg scattered a 613 with a high game of 234 for Forestville. Teammates John Murphy had a 218-566 and Phil Narroway a 217-560.
Al Utegg pounded out a 212-534 to lead Chautauqua Lake.
FREDONIA – Randolph eased past Brocton, 3-1, in boys bowling action at Lucky Lanes, in Fredonia.
The Cardinals won with a linescore of 866-856-758-2,408 to the Bulldogs’ 774-745-760-2,279.
Leading the way for Randolph was Skyler Schapp, who rolled a 223-220-190-633, while teammate Dalton Taylor added a 199 and Ashton Walters a 190.
For Brocton, Anthony Miller charted a team-best 213-199-192-604 while Mark Nickerson chipped in games of 188 and 185.
