Crouch’s Garage To Celebrate 30 Years Of Service With Open House Tuesday

PANAMA – Crouch’s Garage, one of the longest-standing businesses in Panama, has reason to celebrate.

The garage has been operating for 30 years as of Dec. 2.

Owned and operated by Warren and Cindy Crouch, the garage originally opened in 1983 and has remained at the same location for three decades.

The daughter of Warren and Cindy, Shelly Johnson, Harmony town clerk, works at the garage as an office manager.

Along with performing general car maintenance, outfitting vehicles with new tires and selling used vehicles, the garage also sells ethanol-free gasoline. According to Johnson, Crouch’s is one of a few places in Chautauqua County that sells ethanol-free gasoline.

Warren Crouch noted that much of his garage’s business is brought in through local, word-of-mouth referrals and the garage services the vehicles of many Cummins and Panama Central School employees.

“(The garage) is family-owned and operated … and everyone who works at the garage graduated from Panama Central School District,” said Shelly, whose son also works at Crouch’s as a mechanic.

Beyond car maintenance, the Crouch family is well-known for supporting local community and school fundraisers. According to Johnson, the garage is also heavily involved in planning the Panama Hometown Christmas each November and is consistently contributing to local causes, such as supporting the Panama Fire Department and school sports teams.

On Tuesday, Crouch’s Garage will be hosting an open house where all customers old and new will be welcome.
