Lakewood Is Lucky To Have Tony Barone

To The Reader’s Forum:

Lakewood is lucky to have Tony Barone! Tony has worked tirelessly with the Historical Committee in Lakewood to keep residents aware of the history of Lakewood by getting signs and pictures of Lakewood in the “olden days” located throughout the village. My grandkids love to see the signs and pictures of where their Dad used to go to school!

Recently, Tony and his committee have worked with the American Legion Post 1286, to redo the Veterans Memorial Board that was in Lakewood for years. And now, it sits in the Village garage because no one is willing to commit to a location!!

Shame on you. Lakewood Board and Lakewood Library! You have Tony to thank for the Lakewood Museum and the Veteran’s Memorial Board but no one seems to be willing to offer a spot for the Memorial Board!

Since I moved back to Lakewood in the 1980s, I have had the upmost respect for Tony Barone – as a merchant and valued member of the community. I would like to publicly say “Many Thanks, Tony-You Are One-In-AS Million!!!!!
