Raiders Post First Hockey Win Of Season

The Jamestown Raiders recorded their first hockey win this season by blanking Fort LeBoeuf, 7-0, in the Lake Shore League.

The Raiders took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Erik Daugharthy and Mike Mammoser.

Mitch Dorunda and Rick Hasselman scored in the second stanza for a 4-0 edge.

In the third period, Bill Krywy found the range twice and Hasselman once to complete the scoring. Krywy added two assists while one each went to Daugharthy and Hasselman.

In Western New York Varsity Club League action, the Raiders lost to Canisius, 10-1.

The only goal for the Raiders went to Dylan Bergman, assisted by Anthony Tomassi and Mammoser. That goal tied the game at 1-1 halfway through the first period, but Canisius went on to tally nine unanswered goals.

The loss dropped the Raiders’ overall record to 1-6 for the season.
