Lighting, Dedication Of Falconer Memory Tree A Success

FALCONER – The official lighting and dedication ceremony of the third Annual Memory Tree in the Village of Falconer Community Building was held Thursday evening with Falconer Mayor David Krieg present for the dedication.

Angel tree tags were presented on the tree for the ceremony. The tree represented many memories and honored many people of Falconer. A thank you goes out to the community residents for participating in this third annual project by purchasing tree tags in memory of a loved one or a friend, or by honoring a special person in their lives.

The Eye on the Future of Falconer Committee, composed of Brenda Cavallaro, Dr. Patricia Fales, Francelia Skoglund and Geraldine Yauchzy, wishes to thank Falconer Vac Shop, Curves and the Falconer Village Office for being an application location and for all the businesses in Falconer for allowing posters to be displayed. With the help of all involved, this was a successful endeavor.

Proceeds from this project will be donated to the Falconer Library and the Falconer Fund of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. The tree will be on display the month of December in the lobby of the Falconer Village Community Building for all to view. Tree tags are available for pick up by purchasers in the Falconer Public Library after Jan. 1 or contacting Jeri Yauchzy at 665-3891.
