JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Andrew F. Mealy, 23, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. At approximately 5:22 p.m., officers responded to 438 Winsor St. for a domestic incident. Officers spoke with a female victim who stated that she was allegedly choked by Mealy during a verbal argument. Officers located Mealy in the area and he was taken into custody without incident. Mealy was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
Brandon L. Calkins, 27, of Jamestown was charged Friday with improper signal and two misdemeanors – driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher. At approximately 2:37 a.m., a vehicle was observed failing to signal its turn off Foote Avenue onto Prather Avenue. After the vehicle was stopped, Calkins was observed operating the vehicle intoxicated. Calkins will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
TIDIOUTE, Pa. – A 24-year-old Bemus Point man and a 22-year-old Tidioute, Pa. woman were both charged with harassment Thursday at 8:15 p.m. Police say the two got into an altercation over property. The man proceeded to shove the woman with both hands when the woman began to punch and kick the man. Their names were not released.
