To Meet Tuesday

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Room at the middle school. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct school business. The public is invited to attend.

Craft Show

Set For Today

CHERRY CREEK – The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church on Main Street in Cherry Creek will have a craft show today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Santa Claus in attendance from 10 a.m. to noon. Along with crafters, there will be a cookie walk and soup available.

Wreath Sale To Benefit Troops

The Veterans of Modern Warfare Chapter 20 of Jamestown and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 865 Support the Troops Program is selling Christmas trees and wreaths to raise money to send care packages to troops overseas through Saturday, Dec. 21 in front of Harley-Davidson of Jamestown at the Falconer exit of Interstate 86. The tree sales will take place Mondays through Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call 450-6768.

Lakewood Board To Meet Monday

LAKEWOOD – The Village of Lakewood Board of Trustees will hold its regular meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the board room. A work session will precede the meeting at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Alzheimer’s Group To Meet

The Alzheimer’s Association monthly Caregiver Support Group will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 1-2:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the JAMA Building, 15 S. Main St., in Jamestown. An evening monthly caregiver support group will meet on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Fluvanna Community Church on Fluvanna Avenue Extension. The groups are for anyone who is caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related diagnoses. The groups are facilitated by Maggie Irwin, LMSW. JPS Board To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the board room at 197 Martin Road. The public is invited to attend.

Seniors To Hold Christmas Lunch

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Senior Citizens meet once a month on the second Tuesday at noon in the Sinclairville Firehall dining room for a luncheon and program. On Tuesday, Dec. 10, the group will meet for a Christmas luncheon. The ham will be provided by Diman and LouAnn Smith, and the mashed potatoes will be provided by Marge McIntyre. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to add to the meal, and their own table service. A musical program will follow the meal. All members are encouraged to attend, and new members are always welcome.

Salamanca Board To Meet

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca City Central School District will hold its regular Board of Education meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction Room at 50 Iroquois Drive. The public is invited to attend.
