Area Police Reports


Andrew C. Sanders, 27, of Stow was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 8:20 a.m., Sanders was allegedly involved in an incident at his residence where he headbutted another individual in the nose causing swelling and pain. Sanders will appear in North Harmony Court at a later date.


Ivan J. Fullington of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with petit larceny, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana. At approximately 9:18 p.m., officers responded to Tops Market on 2000 Washington St. for a disorderly person. Officers were told by employees that a male had left the store and had stolen beer. Officers located Fullington in the Dollar Tree store. Fullington became combative as officers tried placing him into custody. Fullington was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he is awaiting arraignment.


Michael L. Hitchcock, 18, of Olean was charged Friday with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. At approximately 10:47 p.m., deputies observed Hitchcock spinning his tires as he made his turn on Humphrey Road and proceeded in the opposite direction. Investigation revealed that Hitchcock was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was taken for arraignment where bail was set at $5,000.

Julian G. Nelson, 27, of Leland, N.C., was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, unlicensed operation and no lights. At approximately 2:15 a.m., deputies conducted a routine traffic stop in Salamanca where Nelson was determined to be intoxicated. Nelson was released to a third party and will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.

Melissa L. Doud, 35, of Jamestown was charged Monday with a bench warrant. At approximately 6:46 p.m., deputies took Doud into custody on a bench warrant taken out of Cheektowaga Court. Doud was turned over to Cheektowaga Police.

Derek S. Brink, 33, of Olean was charged Saturday with two counts of petit larceny following two different incidents that occurred at the Olean Wal-Mart and resisting arrest. Brink was arraigned at Allegany Court and will appear there on a later date.


Tamara M. Behm, 31, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt. Behm will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.
