Two-Vehicle Accident Results In Injury; Charges Pending
NORTH HARMONY-A two-vehicle collision in North Harmony spun a Chevrolet Impala into a telephone pole and sent one driver to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jaelyn R. Kuczynski, 24, of Ripley, was traveling southbound on Route 394, when she attempted to make a left-hand turn into a driveway on the east side of the roadway.
Kuczynski allegedly failed to yield to a northbound Toyota sedan driven by Todd C. Martin, 43, of Mayville.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., Martin’s vehicle struck Kuczynski’s passenger side, sending her vehicle spinning into a telephone pole.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed away from the scene.
Kuczynski was taken by Starflight to UPMC Hamot for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Martin was transported to WCA Hospital for minor injuries.
Charges are pending an ongoing investigation of the accident.
