Thomas Frank Anderson

RANDOLPH, N.Y. – Thomas Frank Anderson, 88, of Phillips Brook Road, Randolph, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in WCA Hospital.

He was born May 15, 1925 in Centerville, Pa., the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Eggleston Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Army from Jan. 2, 1951 to Sept. 20, 1956. He was a retired truck driver for the Davidson Junk Yard in Jamestown, following many years of service.

Tom enjoyed working with his hands, making wooden model airplanes and working with wood in general. He was very appreciative for the many people in his life that helped to make it possible for him to remain in his home as he got older. Thank you to the staff at the Cattaraugus County of the Aging and his neighbors and friends for their care and love in assisting him.

He is survived by a brother; Earl Anderson and wife, June, of Sebring, Fla. his friends and neighbors, including: Mitch and Becky Rowland and Bill and Nancy Greenawalt, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, from where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Rodney Mileham, pastor of the East Randolph United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Centerville, Pa. To leave a condolence, log onto:
