CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SINCLAIRVILLE – Karen A. Reynolds, 33, of Conewango Valley, was charged early Saturday morning for driving while intoxicated. At approximately 1:07 a.m., patrol observed a vehicle make a turn without signaling on Jamestown Street in the village of Sinclairville. The vehicle was stopped, and Reynolds was found to be the vehicle’s operator, police said. Following an investigation, she was taken into custody and charged with DWI, a blood-alcohol content level of .08 percent or greater and failure to signal a turn. She will appear in Charlotte Court at a later date.
DUNKIRK – Lucy M. Warmbrodt, 23, of Dunkirk, was cited Thursday morning for driving while intoxicated. At approximately 2:40 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 5 in the city of Dunkirk. Upon investigation, Warmbrodt was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody before being released with traffic tickets, police said. Warmbrodt was charged with speeding, DWI and DWI per se with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or higher. She will appear in the city of Dunkirk Court at a later date.
CARROLL – Susan A. Burns, 62, of Rock Hill, S.C., was traveling eastbound on Route 62 in the town of Carroll when the vehicle she was driving struck a pedestrian Friday. The pedestrian, Darrell Green, was in the eastbound lane directing traffic for a U-Haul trailer that was being extracted from a ditch on the westbound side of the road. Greene was not clearly visible to Burns until the moment before the accident occurred. Greene was taken by helicopter to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa., to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation into the incident is continuing.
CLYMER – Curtis W. Irion, 36, of Butler, Pa., was charged following a traffic stop Friday evening. At approximately 5:36 p.m., deputies stopped Irion for an observed violation of the vehicle and traffic law. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a small quantity of marijuana, and an unregistered and loaded handgun inside of the vehicle, police said. Irion was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic infractions. Irion was arraigned in the town of Sherman, and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail. The town of Clymer judge was unavailable.
