Angelina Perfetto Signorino

Angelina Perfetto Signorino, 90, of 136 Park St., Jamestown, N.Y., died at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 26, 2013), in the WCA Hospital.

She was born in Canicatti, Sicily, on Jan. 12, 1923, the daughter of Antonio and Carmella DiPuma Perfetto.

Angelina was employed as a custodian at Jamestown High School for nine years and was previously employed at WCA Hospital. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, and volunteered at the annual St. Joseph Table and St. Susan’s Soup Kitchen.

She is survived by three sons: Jack (Christine) Signorino and Anthony (Ursula) Signorino, Jamestown, and Richard (Mayme) Signorino, Rochester; a daughter, Eleanor (Joseph) Brunco, Jamestown: nine grandchildren; Russell (Michelle) Brunco, Falconer, Matthew (Carla) Brunco, Joseph Anthony Signorino, Anthony (Rocky) Mandy Signorino, Jamestown, Mary Jo (Michael) Staertow and Joseph Richard Signorino, Rochester, Tonimarie (Daniel) Answeeney, Eden, N.Y., Jacqueline Duntley, Hamburg, and Jessica (Nathan) Rush, Tonawanda; 19 great grandchildren; and three sisters: Carmella Valenti, Syracuse, Carrie Parla and Maria Mongitore, Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Signorino, whom she married Oct. 18, 1936, in Canicatti, Sicily, and who died on May 11, 1973; and by three brothers: Frank, Joseph and James Perfetto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church.

The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Friday from 4-7 p.m., in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
