JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Victor Gifford III, 39, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Jamestown Police officers responded to South Main Street for a domestic incident, and upon arrival officers spoke with a female victim with visible injuries, police said. Upon investigation, officers determined the victim allegedly had a physical altercation with Gifford over a period of several hours before he left the residence prior to police arrival, police said. Officers located Gifford a short distance away and he was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was awaiting arraignment.

Jessica Martin, 33, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 9:14 a.m. Jamestown Police Department responded to Rite Aid Pharmacy located on South Main Street for a report of a shoplifter in custody, police said. Martin allegedly stole a package of Jet Fuel pills from the store, but was taken into custody by an employee. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail where she was awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

Ulus Battle, 26, of Buffalo was charged with third-degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday at 7:18 p.m. Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Ellicott Police Police Department located and arrested Battle on East Sixth Street in Jamestown because Battle allegedly had sold quantities of crack cocaine to agents of the Task Force from a location in Ellicott, police said. He was taken into custody without incident, and arraigned in Ellicott Court and then remanded to Chautauqua County Jail without bail pending further action of the court. The Southern Tier Regional Task Force is comprised of officers from Dunkirk Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD- Lacy Abraham, 27, of Sheffield, Pa., was charged with petit larceny on Saturday at 9 p.m. Abraham allegedly stole merchandise consisting of DVDs and iPhone covers from Walmart in Lakewood valuing $124.80. She was arraigned in Busti Court and released to reappear at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA- Vincent Kane, 28, of Portland was arrested on outstanding bench warrant out of Brocton where he was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and multiple smoking pipes during the arrest and additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Friday at 9:21 p.m. Kane was arraigned on a bench warrant in Chautauqua Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
