Amy Jane Gustafson Davis

GREENSBORO, N.C. -Amy Jane Gustafson Davis died suddenly at her home on Nov. 18, 2013, of heart failure. She went home to meet the Lord at age 37 years, six months and seven days young. We will miss you, Amy! Our hearts break with the sorrow of our loss. Lord, sweep away our tears and remind us to share her joy as she enters into your Kingdom.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Michael Kurtz and the Rev. Karen Kurtz officiating.

Amy was the beloved daughter of Patricia Gustafson and the late Jeffrey R. Gustafson. Born on April 11, 1976, she was a graduate of Randolph Central School, and attended Jamestown Community College. She married Brian Davis and lived in Greensboro, N.C..

She was a totally devoted wife and wonderful loving mommy to her young children. She loved music, reading and spending time with her family at the beach. She was a member of the Randolph Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 181, and co-owner of two HWY55 Restaurants in Greensboro, N.C. She was noted for her work with the Santa Project for Greensboro Shriners Club, and The Andy’s Foundation, which benefits the Make-a-Wish Program, The Miracle League, and The American Cancer Foundation.

Amy is survived by her husband, Brian Christopher Davis; son, Brian Jeffrey Davis; and daughter, Kaylee Taylor Davis of the home; mother, Patricia Gustafson of Englewood, Fla.; brother, Richard (Melissa) Gustafson of Erwina, Pa.; sister, Tamara Ann (Matthew) Sard of New Bern, N.C.; nieces: Amber Sard, Kayla Gustafson and Brynn Gustafson, father-in-law, Mike Davis (Dianne) of New Bern, N.C..; mother-in-law, Kathy Wendle Robert of Mebane, N.C.; nephews: Dylan Sard and Matt Overbeck; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Again, she will be deeply missed!

The family will receive friends on Friday Nov. 22, from 6-8 p.m., at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel, Stokesdale, N.C., and 40 minutes prior to the funeral service on Saturday at Oak Ridge Methodist Church.
