Area Police Reports


Jeffrey M. Royce, 36, of Hanover was charged Monday with failure to keep right. At approximately 7:30 a.m., police and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury in Hanover. After investigation, it was alleged that Royce was traveling eastbound on Route 39 when he crossed into oncoming traffic. Royce’s vehicle struck another vehicle head on. The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured, however Royce was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Royce was issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right.

Sarah Parke was involved in a motor vehicle accident Monday. At approximately 11 a.m., police and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with reports of injuries as well as an overturned vehicle. Witnesses state Parke’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic for no apparent reason. Parke then over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. It was reported that the vehicle then overturned multiple times before landing in a ditch. Parke was transported to Erie County Medical Center for unknown injuries at this time.

Shaun Ellison, 32, of Forestville was charged Sunday with third-degree burglary, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 3:39 p.m., deputies and New York state police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a vacant house on South Roberts Road. Upon arrival, deputies observed Ellison exiting the house. Ellison was allegedly in possession of a metal club. Ellison was arraigned in the Town of Sheridan court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Kerry A. Vasquezmarte, 29, of Forestville was charged Saturday with second-degree harassment. At approximately 7:56 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a victim involved in a physical altercation at Adams Street in Silver Creek. Upon investigation, it was determined that Vasquezmarte punched a female victim in the face while on Buffalo Street. Vasquezmarte is scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Court on a later date.


Shalon M. Corbett, 37, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary, second-degree harassment and two counts endangering the welfare of a child. After responding to a domestic dispute, police observed Corbett entering a residence through a window and pushing the victim around, causing her to fall to the ground. Once the victim was on the ground, Corbett continued to slam the victim’s head into the floor. This was done in front of the victim’s two children. Corbett was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. Clifford P. Stover, 29, of Cleveland, Oh, was charged Sunday with criminal obstruction of breathing. After responding to a domestic dispute at the Red Roof Inn, officers reported that Stover placed his hands around the victim’s neck and choked her. Stover was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Shawn L. Brickley, 45, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and failure to keep right. After responding to a reported vehicle off the roadway on East Avenue in Celoron, police observed Brickley walking away from the vehicle. Upon investigation, police determined Brickley to be intoxicated and took him into custody. Brickley was transported to the Ellicott Police Department and will appear in Ellicott Court on a later date.

Jacob C. Bliss, 19, of Celoron was charged Friday with underage possession of alcohol. After responding to a report of subjects being disorderly and drinking alcohol within a business, police found Bliss in possession of alcohol and underage. Bliss will appear at the Town of Ellicott court on a later date.
