Registration Still Open For Timbits Beginning Program

The Chautauqua County Youth Hockey Association is still taking registrations for the Timbits Beginner program.

The Timbits Beginner program is for all children ages 6 and under (first year 7- and 8-year-olds as well). The program is fun, interactive and taught by experienced coaches. The primary focus of each session is to further a child’s development on and off the ice. While promoting teamwork, self-confidence and most of all fun.

The ice sessions have the ice broken down into sections that a child will go through. The sections include: a Learn To Skate 1 section for the first-time skaters, a Learn To Skate 2 section for the newer skaters that just learned to skate on their own and a Mini Mite section for the more advanced skaters.

Once all of the children have reached the Mini Mite section the fun and competitive cross ice hockey games will begin.

The fee is $250 for the season which runs from November through the end of February. Practices are held on Tuesdays at 5:45- 6:35 p.m. and on Saturday Mornings (times vary) at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.

Players must register with USA Hockey at www.usahockeyregistration.com prior to attending the CCYHA Timbit Beginner program. A copy of the USA Hockey number will be need to be presented at the first practice.
