Great Work, Panama Students

To The Reader’s Forum:

Last Thursday night I had the privilege of watching a 2 hour variety show at Panama Central School for grades 5th through 12th. And, I must say, what a show. Not only was it entertaining, it was absolutely impressive to see and hear so many talented individuals. The acts included Singing, Drum playing, Flute, Bassoon, Clarinet, Guitar, Ukulele and individual song, Free style dance, Irish dance, Gymnastics, Piano playing and some Comedy too. The ages of these artists are as young as Ten and some have just begun to play an instrument and have been doing so for only a month. And, every one of the individual performers did an excellent job. They are all very talented. And, from the loud clapping and hooting from the audience, I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

It was a great show created by Mrs. Dolce and Mr. Swanson and I am giving them a Huge Thank You. Not only for their recognition of each student and the mentoring of these students but for their passion for the arts. It is important for me as a parent of one of those students to know there are teachers who encourage kids to pursue their talents. And, for giving them the opportunity to perform. It takes a lot of courage to get on stage in front of an audience. And, you allowed each student to do so and that is Awesome. Great Job!
