Red Cross Volunteers Respond To Three Area Fires

Members of the American Red Cross of Southwestern New York Disaster Team responded to several fires Sunday and Monday to provide disaster relief following incidents in Fredonia, Westfield and Stockton.

Disaster volunteers Pete Peterson and Fran Heath responded to the Russo Apartment fire in Fredonia on Sunday, where the Red Cross has assisted 13 individuals. Mary Walker responded to a fire on Webster Road, Westfield, to help three individuals displaced by a fire Sunday evening. On Monday, Charlie Meder responded to assist a family of six after their home was destroyed by fire in Stockton.

Temporary housing, clothing, and meals are services typically offered to address emergency needs. The local Red Cross chapter will continue working with the individuals and their recovery process if additional services or referrals are necessary.
