CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Erika M. Lee, 27, of Randolph; Matthew R. Moran, 29, of Steamburg; Kyle E. Bartlett, 21, of Salamanca; Richard M. Brain, 47, of South Dayton; and Lisa M. Cislo, 33, of South Dayton were charged with trespassing at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the Gurnsey Hollow Cemetery, town of South Valley. They were charged, issued appearance tickets and released.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

David R. Lesak, 42, of Barrows Street, Jamestown, was charged at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and several felony warrants. Jamestown Police Department officers were on patrol in the area of the 7-Eleven store, 340 Allen St., when they noticed four suspicious males near the back of the property. As officers walked up to talk with the males, one of them started running away from the scene. This male was told several times to stop and he refused. He was caught by officers a short distance later and charged.

Alexander J. Foti, 28, of Jamestown, was charged at 12:27 a.m. on Friday with moving from lane unsafely, driving with intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Officers of the 3rd Platoon were dispatched to the intersection of East Second Street and Hopkins Avenue for a two-car property damage car accident. When police arrived on location they spoke with a witness who stated that a westbound vehicle on East Second Street struck a parked car on East Second Street then struck a utility pole, coming to rest in an empty nearby lot. Offices then spoke with Foti who told officers that he struck the vehicle and the utility pole. He was put through standardized field sobriety and was determined to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the city jail pending arraignment. He submitted to a breath test indicating his blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit and was charged.

Neftalli Vellon Benitez, 33, of Jamestown was charged at 9:50 a.m. on Friday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Jamestown Police Department officers performed a traffic stop in the area of Chandler Street at Foote Avenue. While speaking to the driver, officers observed metal knuckles which were located in the center console. The driver, Benitez, was transported to the city jail where he awaits arraignment. He is also charged with several traffic tickets.
