Hockey Training Center Opens Programs On Monday At JSBA

The Jamestown Savings Bank Arena’s new Hockey Training Center is prepared for two programs to begin on Monday.

The Learn to Play program is designed to introduce the game of hockey to all ages and skill levels. It takes place on Mondays from 5-6:15 p.m. and will run in eight-week sessions with the first session beginning Monday and running through Dec.30.

One-day passes are $8 or an eight-session pass is $50.

All Learn to Play participants must be playing hockey or have attended a Learn to Skate program prior to registering. Participants must also be fully equipped and registered through USA Hockey.

JSBA’s semi-annual Old Dogs Hockey Training Program also begins on Mondayand is designed for beginner adults or former players who haven’t played in years. These classes focus on basic skills, stick handling and game situations and are instructed by Craig Hinderleider.

Classes are scheduled for Monday evenings from 8:30-9:20 p.m. and will run through Feb. 24. The cost is $12 per session or $55 for a five-session pass.
