Downtown Accident Sends Four To WCA

Jamestown Police responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Washington and Third streets around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Elizabeth Johnson, 54, of West Ellicott, was driving eastbound on Third Street in a 2003 navy blue Chevrolet Impala when she was struck by a 2003 white Impala, which allegedly ran a red light while traveling north on Washington Street. Johnson’s car then drove up and over a rock embankment, police said.

Johnson and her three passengers, two of whom were children, were taken to WCA Hospital with minor knee and neck pain. The driver of the white car, who was not identified, was transported to WCA by Alstar Ambulance.

Jamestown Fire Department also responded to the scene.
