Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Vendors’ Showcase Set For Saturday
The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary annual vendors’ showcase will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the legion post. Twenty local vendors and a bake sale will be featured. The auxiliary will also join the local scouts beginning at 9 a.m. for the annual ”Make a Difference Day” food collection which benefits the Cassadaga Food Pantry.
Gayle Cieplinski, auxiliary president, presided at a recent meeting and spoke on the children’s Halloween party on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. Karen Field gave the treasurer’s report, and correspondence was read by Carol Baker, secretary.
Pat Howard spoke on the junior auxiliary meeting, election and installation of officers and Carol Baker, poppy chairwoman, on poppies and can labels for Poppy Days.
Membership dues are $20 and should be mailed to Sally Lawson or paid at the post.
Discussion was on the county auxiliary meeting which was held in Westfield. Susan Rowley spoke on Blue Star Mothers. Also discussed was a meet and greet held in the post; the need of volunteers for the Nov. 17 Thanksgiving dinner in the Buffalo Veterans Administration; the Nov. 16 Hunters’ Breakfast; and Dec. 1 ”Deck the Halls” party.
It was voted to donate money to the Jeff Wickmart benefit, the VA Walkathon and gift shop.
Ms. Howard closed the meeting with prayer.
