Cub Scout Pack 126 Learns About Wilderness At Luensman Park

Mayville’s Cub Scout Pack 126 Bear Den went to Luensman Park in Portland on Sept. 30. The Scouts learned about poisonous plants, identifying trees by their leaves and animal footprints they may see in the woods. Each Scout brought an ingredient, and together made their own trail mix which they took on their hike through the woods. Boys also packed items that they thought could be useful while on a hike. All of this to earn the Leave No Trace award, hiking belt loop and a few requirements toward their Bear rank.
