Four Charged Following Larceny At Wal-Mart

LAKEWOOD – Four people face charges following a shoplifting complaint at Wal-Mart on Wednesday.

Leanne Dowdell and Josh A. Moore of Bemus Point were both charged with petit larceny while Dowdell was additionally charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Moore and another passenger, Justin L. Eck of Sherman were charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. A fourth passenger, Crystal A. Suppo of Sherman was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Lakewood-Busti Police officers were called to the store at 7:46 p.m. when employees saw the suspects leaving the store. Officers located the vehicle matching the description on Route 394 in Busti. Dowdell was driving the vehicle with a suspended license leading to her additional charge. Upon further investigation it was found that Moore and Eck were in possession of several needles. Suppo was also found to be in possession of heroin.

All four suspects were processed and released with appearance tickets for Town of Busti Court at a later date.
