Soto, Stokes Set Pace At Dunkirk Invite

DUNKIRK – Javier Soto of Dunkirk and Gwen Stokes of Fredonia were the individual cross country winners at the Dunkirk Invitational on Friday.

Soto won the boys race in 17:43.43 as Dunkirk finished second with 52 points.

St. Francis was the champion with 41 points while Silver Creek had 57 points and Fredonia 69.

Ethan Francis of Dunkirk placed second with 17:59.52, Caleb Makuch of Silver Creek third and Stephen Formanowicz of Fredonia fourth.

Stokes won the girls race in 21:09.21 followed by Emma Seiders of Silver Creek in 21:23.87 and sister Hannah Seiders in 21:38.43.

Fredonia had 27 points, Silver Creek 38 points and Dunkirk was incomplete.
