Area Police Reports


Carin Knight, 23, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. Jamestown Police and probation officers went to serve a probation warrant on Knight, and upon arrival Knight was advised he was under arrest for a probation warrant and he became disorderly and fought with officers, police said. Knight allegedly ran out the door and led officers on a short foot pursuit before he was caught. He is in jail awaiting arraignment.


Jonathan White, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal contempt on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. White was turned over to Dunkirk Police Department for further processing.

Mark Daniels, 50, of South Dayton was charged with second-degree criminal contempt on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. He was arraigned in South Dayton Court and released to appear in Leon Court at a later date.


Brian Waller, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana on Wednesday at 2:48 p.m. He was stopped at a road check on Route 394 in Stow, and troopers allegedly smelled marijuana in the the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, troopers located an open beer can and more than 14 ounces of marijuana, police said. He was taken to Jamestown and processed, and then arraigned in North Harmony Court. Waller was sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail.

Cassandra Liddle, 27, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree harassment on Wednesday at 9:04 p.m.
