Panama Girls Sweep Cassadaga Valley

PANAMA – Panama improved to 6-2 in league and 7-6 overall after posting a 25-5, 25-12, 25-10 win over Cassadaga Valley in West Division 2 volleyball.

For the Lady Panthers, Taylor Bowen produced 10 assists, 20 points, two aces and a kill, Britany Lenart had six kills, one block, one assist and a point, Carly Abbate delivered 15 points, six aces, four kills, three assists and three digs, Ally Strickland had11 points, four aces and a dig; and Emma Jordan added three kills and a block.

Autumn Howe came through with one ace, two kills, a block and six digs for Cassadaga Valley, Alyssa Hahn had an ace, two assists and one dig and Hope Zielinski added one kill and one block.

In jayvee action, Panama was the winner, 25-9, 25-9 over Cassadaga Valley.

CLCS STILL UNBEATEN

Chautauqua Lake stayed perfect for the season in posting a 25-12, 25-15, 26-24 victory over host Maple Grove, improving to 8-0 in league and 12-0 overall.

Jenna Einink delivered two assists and 14 kills, four blocks and six digs; Ashton Albanesius had eight kills and two blocks; Tara Hunt added two aces, 12 assists, four kills and eight digs; Amanda Gleason drilled two kills; and Kylee Braymiller had three aces and two kills for the Lady Thunderbirds.

For the Lady Red Dragons, Nicole Hemminger came through with 12 service points, a kill and seven digs; Sierra Sperenza had 10 service points, two kills and 14 digs; Paige Hammond added three kills and a dig; and Hannah Serrara came off the bench and produced four aces and five digs.

Chautauqua Lake also won the jayvee battle, 25-23, 25-14, 25-20.

SHERMAN WINS

SHERMAN -It took Sherman five games before prevailing over arch-rival Clymer.

Sherman made its league record 5-3 and overall 7-4 by downing Clymer (4-4, 4-6), 22-25, 25-12, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14.

Bridget Yaw had 12 points, five kills and four aces for the Lady Wildcats while Roxanne Toy had 10 points, five kills, an ace, a block; Katrina Christmas had 10 points, four kills and four aces;and Kadi Hannold recorded 13 assists.

For Clymer, Daniella Wade recorded 20 points, three aces and two digs; Samantha Nickerson had five points, six kills and eight digs; and Marissa Trisket had five points, five assists and three digs.

Clymer gained a split by taking the jayvee match.
